    Associate Director, Field Deployment Incentives

    PURPOSE:

    Bayer Pharmaceuticals is committed to delivering on its mission Health for All, Hunger for None by advancing a portfolio of innovative treatments. As we advance our operating model towards Dynamic Shared Ownership with an even stronger focus on customer oriented and mission-based work, the goal of the Incentives team is to shape and operationalize US Pharma Incentives for the Customer Engagement/Sales team as a key enabler to delivering on the revenue goal of $4BN by 2028.

     

    The Associate Director, Field Deployment Incentives reports into the VP of Field Operations and is responsible to enable the operations of the Customer Engagement incentive strategy in a pay for performance culture, which includes the core and supplemental plan design, communication, execution, reporting, effectiveness, and awards programs (i.e. Pinnacle) for the therapeutic areas across US Pharma. The Associate Director, Field Deployment Incentives is also responsible to drive operational excellence across the end-to-end IC processes.

    KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Shape and enable the therapeutic area (TA) specific Sales Incentive and Supplemental plans with a focus to operationalize these across the end-to-end process;

    + Establish cross functional ways of working and processes required to enable the TA specific incentive and Supplemental plans;

    + Responsible for the tracking Bayer incentive budget for the TAs, providing accurate expense projections and accrual recommendations for finance;

    + Make recommendations to leadership on how to optimize spend on the Incentive programs, i.e., through pay curve, advanced quota setting, etc.;

    + Consolidate payout summaries and tax submissions (for the annual field awards) to HR/Payroll team for processing;

    + Conduct ad hoc analyses to shape an TA Sales Incentive and Supplemental plans across US Pharma as needed;

    + Manages the production, analysis, and publication of Monthly Incentive reports;

    + Act as the point of contact to the TA leadership for all questions relating to Incentives, incl. onboarding or training on Sales IQ;

    + Define TA specific business requirements for the incentive compensation technology needs and implement these in the end-to-end platform. Maintain the Bayer Incentives policies and act in accordance with these;

    + Maintain documentation in the Incentives SharePoint site and ensure audit readiness for all US Pharma brands;

    + Support projects (i.e., annual awards) across US Pharma as needed;

    + All activities need to be shaped in accordance with the Bayer policies;

    + The primary location for this role is Whippany, NJ. Candidates not local or reasonably commutable to the Whippany, NJ office must be willing to relocate to the area as a remote arrangement will not be offered for this role. Relocation assistance may be offered based upon the needs of the business.

    WHO YOU ARE:

    Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

    Required Qualifications:

    + Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree;

    + Minimum of 5 years of relevant and progressive leadership experience working in Healthcare or related industry. 3 years of experience will be accepted with an MBA, Master’s Degree or higher;

    + At least 3 years of experience in design, development, and execution of sales incentive plans in the healthcare or related industry;

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the unique ability to distill complex analytics into effective and motivating messages for the field;

    + Highly collaborative;

    + Solution oriented with ability to solve complex business challenges;

    + Passionate about advancing the role of incentives to drive a new operating model;

    + Strong analytical skills;

    + Strong project management skills and attention to detail;

    + Must be able to work under pressure to meet short timelines;

    + Ability to maintain confidentiality where appropriate.

     

    This role will be available for application through 8/13/2025.

     

    Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $122,946 to $184,419. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
