Overview
System Director/Chief Benefits Officer
With the support of the Chief Benefits Officer and the HR corporate team, the successful candidate will be responsible administration of all benefit plans, and ensuring effective communication of all plans for Baptist Memorial Health Care. Position reports to the Chief Benefits Officer.
Essential Functions:
+ Develops, implements, and administers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package in support of BMHCC organizational philosophy. Evaluates overall program effectiveness to ensure cost effectiveness and adherence to all applicable regulatory agencies.
+ Evaluates current programs to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and competitiveness with other organizations.
+ Directs the evaluation, planning, and administration of the organizations various health, welfare, and retirement programs; assesses effectiveness of programs in meeting overall strategic objectives, and oversees the development and implementation of changes and improvements to benefits programs, as appropriate.
+ Researches and analyzes “best benefit practices” in order to provide benefit offerings that are attractive to potential applicants.
+ Partners with brokers, vendors and/or consultants regarding renewals, negotiations, benefit plan design, claim utilization, and cost management.
+ Creates a strong culture of recognition through the design of reward and recognition programs.
+ Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for benefits programs.
+ Develop a communication strategy to keep all HR leaders informed of all benefit design plans and changes.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
+ 8 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
+ Extensive knowledge of benefit programs, trends, legal compliance and regulatory standards.
+ Proven ability to gauge effectiveness of the organization's benefits programs and translate data into solutions to continually improve programs and practices.
+ Demonstrated experience in benefit plan design and implementation.
+ Strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
