    The **Software Administrator Senior (Class)** is responsible for managing and maintaining SharePoint site collections at the organizational level, focusing on content structure, permissions, and usability rather than back-end administration. Acting as a hybrid between a content manager and a power user, the ideal candidate ensures SharePoint environments are organized, user-friendly, and aligned with the mission needs of the supported office. This role requires a strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, document management best practices, and effective stakeholder communication.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage SharePoint Online and/or on-premises site collections, subsites, libraries, lists, and permissions

    + Design and implement logical site structures and navigation aligned with business workflows

    + Serve as the primary point of contact for content management, permissions requests, and site updates

    + Develop and maintain pages using modern web parts, lists, libraries, views, and metadata tagging

    + Support users by providing guidance, troubleshooting support, and content lifecycle best practices

    + Work with stakeholders to gather and translate business needs into functional SharePoint solutions

    + Create and maintain documentation, user guides, and training for site users and content owners

    + Monitor site usage and recommend improvements for usability, performance, or compliance

    + Coordinate with IT infrastructure teams when escalations or technical dependencies arise

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR

    + Associate degree with 2+ additional years of relevant IT experience OR

    + High school diploma or GED equivalent required with 4+ additional years of directly related IT experience in lieu of a degree

    + 10+ years of professional experience in the IT industry, with at least 5 years of experience administering SharePoint sites in a business or government environment.

    + Microsoft certification in SharePoint, Power Platform, or related technologies preferred

    + Must hold a current DoD 8140 (or 8570) baseline certification at the IAT Level II or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+)

    + U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Strong proficiency with SharePoint 2016/2019 (on-premises); experience with SharePoint Online is a plus

    + Ability to create, manage, and customize lists, libraries, views, and pages

    + Understanding of SharePoint permissions management, content types, and metadata tagging

    + Experience with Power Automate or basic workflows is a plus

    + Knowledge of document and records management best practices

    + Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

    + Ability to provide user training and develop clear documentation for non-technical staff

    + Familiarity with Teams integration, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools
