    The Division of Pediatric Neurosciences is seeking a full-time board eligible Pediatric Neuropsychologist to join our thriving division in Grand Rapids, Michigan as Section Chief of Pediatric Neuropsychology. The Neuropsychologist joining this practice will enjoy being part of a rapidly expanding children’s hospital and neurosciences program with Physician status and ample opportunities to develop specialized areas of expertise.

     

    The Section Chief of Pediatric Neuropsychology in conjunction with the Division Chief of Neurosciences will be responsible for the comprehensive operations of the Section of Pediatric Neuropsychology so that the section supports the mission of Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital including clinical services, education, research, and other scholarly activity, and advocacy.

    Practice Description

    The Chief of Pediatric Neuropsychology will join the Division of Neurosciences. This expanding division includes 6 Pediatric Neuropsychologists, 4 Psychometrists, 3 Pediatric Neurosurgeons, 11 Pediatric Neurologists, and 16 Advanced Practice Providers. Patients are referred from within neurosciences as well as other specialties (e.g., biochemical geneticists).

    Role Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Division Chief of Neurosciences, the Section Chief of Pediatric Neuropsychology will be expected to:

    + Foster an atmosphere conducive to excellence in clinical care, education, and clinical research.

    + Develop effective strategic plans to expand and strengthen pediatric neuropsychology’s core clinical programs.

    + Deliver consistently excellent access and services for every patient.

    + Expand strategic local and regional community partnerships.

    + Oversee and allocate duties of clinical staff to provide outstanding value-based care to pediatric neuropsychology patients. Standard responsibilities include: (a) determine and manage coverage of clinical care for the clinics and existing clinical programs, (b) ensure outstanding family-centered care in all settings, and (c) develop and implement additional clinical programs to meet the needs of the patient population.

    + Develop and expand neuropsychology services in multidisciplinary and complex care clinics.

    + Maintain and exceed Likelihood to Recommend (LTR) expectations. Maintain and exceed patient experiences in clinics and other service lines.

    Experience

    Required Doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, clinical psychology, or neuropsychology. Candidates who are board-eligible in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). This includes completion of a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology. Experience working in an outpatient and/or inpatient neuropsychology hospital setting is preferred. Demonstrate experience in mentorship. Demonstrate the ability to develop and build innovative programs. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Michigan and be licensed by the time of employment.
