    Decker Precision Machining is currently looking for successful candidates to fill our Industrial Maintenance Technician positions.

     

    **Reports to:** President/Shop Manager

    Job Summary:

    This candidate will primarily be responsible for the upkeep of the company's facility and grounds. They must be well-rounded individuals who can perform efficient work on a variety of equipment, executing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance.

    Responsibilities:

    + Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment.

    + Conducting daily routine maintenance, housekeeping, and safety checks.

    + Handles necessary repairs and maintenance.

    + Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling, as necessary.

    + Installs equipment and appliances.

    + Maintains a safe and clean work environment and complies with all company safety regulations.

    + Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports.

    + Reports any issues to the maintenance manager or clients.

    + Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.

    + Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients.

    + Collaborates with the production team and contractors as needed.

    + Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.

    + Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.

    + Implement the preventive maintenance program for production machinery and equipment as directed by the Manager.

    Qualifications:

    + Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.

    + Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.

    + Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

    + Must complete record check and drug screening prior to employment.

    + Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.

    + Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.

    + Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

    + Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the property and production facility.

    + Preferred: 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing (willing to train).

    + Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

    Education:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required.

    + A certification in building maintenance is a plus.

    Work Hours:

    + Monday – Friday 5:30 am to 2:30 PM (Overtime may be required)
