Position Summary...

We are looking for a Data Product Manager to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of data products that deliver business value and empower teams with actionable insights. You will work at the intersection of data, technology, and business, ensuring our data assets are transformed into scalable, user-centric products.

What you'll do...

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy and Vision

+ Define and communicate a clear vision and strategy for data products.

+ Identify complex customer problems and unmet needs, and formulate solutions using design thinking and data-driven approaches.

+ Drive go-to-market strategies to ensure successful adoption and business impact.

+ Formulate hypotheses and use rapid prototyping, lean experimentation, and first-principle thinking to validate new ideas.

+ Create scalable and barrier-free processes for customers by deeply understanding their journeys, pain points, and opportunities.

2. Product Roadmap and Development

+ Develop and own product roadmaps for complex data products.

+ Prioritize features based on customer value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver products using agile methodologies, MVP approaches, and iterative development cycles.

+ Manage roll-out, scaling, and adoption plans, ensuring business readiness and user enablement.

3. Data-Driven Decision Making

+ Define success metrics and measure product performance to inform continuous improvement.

+ Conduct and support product and feature analytics to uncover trends, user behaviours, and optimization opportunities.

+ Structure, document, and communicate data findings to influence product direction.

4. Customer and Stakeholder Management

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

+ Communicate complex information clearly, influence without authority, and drive consensus in ambiguous or challenging situations.

+ Anticipate needs, provide constructive feedback, and respond effectively to evolving requirements.

5. Technology and Innovation

+ Understand competitive technology landscapes, existing enterprise systems, and emerging trends.

+ Drive user acceptance testing and adoption of new technologies and processes.

+ Partner with engineering to define technical design, architecture, configurations, APIs, and implementation options.

6. Team Leadership and Development

+ Supervise and develop associates by selecting and training talent, mentoring, assigning duties, and building a high-performing, inclusive team culture.

+ Establish clear performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, recognize contributions, and coach for growth.

+ Promote continuous learning, adaptability, and a strong sense of belonging in the workplace.

7. Operational Excellence

+ Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of current programs and initiatives to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

+ Develop contingency plans, remove barriers to execution, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 9 years’ experience in product management or related experience at a technology and data-driven company focused on building products with new and emerging technologies.

Option 2: 11 Years’ experience at a technology and data-driven company focused on building products with new and emerging technologies.

Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or related area and 8 years’ experience in back-end platform or highly complex B2B/C products or experience in roles requiring data-driven decision making and quantitative analysis skills (including deep knowledge of Excel, SQL, or statistics), Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
