Position: Equipment Coordinator

Department: Neonatal Intensive Care

Shift:** **7:00 am- 4:00 pm Full Time 36 hours a week, 72 hours per pay period

Facility: Miami Valley Hospital

The equipment coordinator performs technical and supportive duties that facilitate direct care and ensure the smooth functioning of the nursing unit. Major responsibilities include maintaining an inventory of supplies, equipment, and linen, delivering specimens, maintaining unit cleanliness, storing equipment, cycling equipment, and preparing it for immediate use.

The Equipment Coordinator works under the direction of the registered nurse and is accountable to the shift manager/nurse manager. The Equipment Coordinator has the following responsibilities that include but are not limited to: care of equipment/ supplies, cleaning, stocking, transporting, errands, clerical functions, teamwork, and customer relations. The Equipment Coordinator interacts with hospital staff, physicians, patients, and visitors.

Qualifications -

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Skills/Other: Interpersonal skills, possesses ability to communicate effectively – demonstrates a compassionate spirit. Successful completion of skills tests in following areas: reading, writing, basic math, customer relations. Self motivation and ability to work with a team or independently. Has good Command of English language and ability to hold conversations.
