Position Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs for Diversity and Inclusion and the Assistant Dean for Student Involvement, this one-year, live-in position serves as a key liaison between the Office of Multicultural Affairs ( OMA ) and the Office for Student Involvement ( OSI ).
The role supports cross-departmental leadership initiatives, student organization advising, and inclusive co-curricular programming rooted in Fordham’s Jesuit, Catholic mission. It advances University priorities in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging ( DEIB ), while also contributing to student government advising, leadership training, and signature campus events.
Evening and weekend work is required. Reappointment may be available based on departmental needs.
Essential Functions:
Serves as a liaison between the Offices of Multicultural Affairs ( OMA ) and Student Involvement ( OSI ), driving cross-departmental student leader training and co-curricular initiatives that promote student engagement, inclusion, and retention.
Designs and facilitates leadership programs such as the Leadership Weekend retreat and the Fordham University Emerging Leaders ( FUEL ) program in collaboration with the Leadership Initiatives Committee.
Partners with OMA and University leadership to create DEIB -focused workshops, certificate models, and mission-driven trainings like the Racial Solidarity Network and LGBTQ & Ally Network of Support.
Coordinates with the AVPSA and International Services to develop culturally relevant engagement and retention programs for international students.
Provides developmental advising and policy guidance to USG leadership and committees, in collaboration with Lincoln Center OSI staff.
Leads election processes via Rams Involved and develops strategies to increase student participation and engagement.
Administers the student organization operations, providing training and support to ensure effective use by student leaders.
Manages logistics, agendas, and communication for Student Life Council and its Executive Board.
Directs assessment of student engagement and leadership efforts, manages OSI / OMA leadership web content, and supports Pre-Commencement celebrations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in developing and managing programs and working with diverse college student populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in a related area.
Minimum Salary: $60,000 (plus on-campus housing)
Maximum Salary: $60,000 (plus on-campus housing)
