As a Director PMO, DDR and GDDR Components at Micron, you will lead a team of Program Managers within the DRAM PMO (Program Management Office) organization. This outstanding opportunity allows you to coordinate achieving program targets in schedule, quality, costs, manufacturing readiness, and budget. You will be deeply involved in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and Stage Gate (SG) reviews of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process.
Role and Responsibilities:
+ Instruct, guide, and support your team by setting priorities, solving conflicts, and assisting with decision-making and critical issues.
+ Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings and periodic performance reviews with all team members.
+ Assign programs to Program Managers and provide mentorship through all stages of the program.
+ Set up track training (ProChain and other related knowledge/skills) and offer mentoring to all team members.
+ Participate in long-term planning activities such as DRAM roadmap and NPI process improvements in the PMO and SBO organizations.
+ Facilitate weekly work reviews for all NPI programs and actively participate in Compute and Graphics DRAM stage gate reviews.
+ Facilitate lessons learned workshops to encourage knowledge sharing and standard processes throughout the company for continuous improvement of the NPI process.
+ Collect product requirements, align with BU teams, Engineering and Operations functions, and establish a SOR (scope of record) prior to SG2. Develop and publish a ProChain-based schedule. Monitor the plan throughout the project, driving and tracking required actions and follow-ups, especially when the execution is off schedule.
+ Work with NPI representatives to develop a sample delivery plan for ES/QS.
+ Set up and direct a Product Development Team (PDT) with regular meetings to track progress and drive project execution.
+ Quickly identify and make decisions, advancing those beyond the PDT's scope in a timely manner if necessary.
+ Manage ongoing risks and change requests actively.
+ Drive product qualification and ramp, as well as hand-off to sustain PDTs (sPDTs) according to the handoff process.
+ Report program status to leadership regularly and coordinate report-outs at work reviews and program reviews.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience mentoring and guiding Program Managers through all stages of program execution.
+ Familiarity with ProChain or similar project scheduling tools.
+ Experience conducting performance reviews and 1:1 meetings with team members.
+ Background in DRAM roadmap planning and NPI (New Product Introduction) process improvements.
+ Ability to facilitate lessons learned workshops and promote continuous improvement practices.
+ Strong engineering background in the semiconductor industry, particularly in memory product development.
+ Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including BU, Engineering, and Operations.
+ Skilled in risk management, changing control, and structured hand-off processes to sustaining teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ BS degree or equivalent experience in engineering required
+ Have 5+ years of experience in semiconductor or system development.
+ Successfully managed a global team
+ Have worked in a program management function and can drive complex development projects.
+ Are self-aligned, outspoken, and can get things done following a structured approach.
+ Can quickly analyze data and information.
+ Communicate openly and effectively.
+ Have a good presence in meetings and excellent presentation skills.
+ Possess a strong engineering background in the semiconductor industry, ideally with a good understanding of memory product development.
+ Are willing and able to travel domestically and internationally.
