    Senior Information Systems Security Manager (Sr. ISSM)

     

    Our Cybersecurity team in Cambridge, MA. have a great opportunity for a Senior Information Systems Security Manager (Sr. ISSM) to add to the existing team of ISSMs, ISSOs, and ISSE in support to various classified programs. At RTX BBN, you will receive unique experiences in support of National Security initiatives and programs. The successful candidate should be able to develop, administer, and maintain comprehensive security programs in a fast-paced environment.

     

    What You Will Do

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    The Sr. Information Systems Security Manager (Sr. ISSM) will have primary ownership of Information Systems under their assigned purview. They are responsible for overseeing and implementing the Cybersecurity Program established by the Cybersecurity Lead and in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals, Risk Management Framework (RMF), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD-503), Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG), Defense Counter-Intelligence Security Agency (DCSA) Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), associated National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), along with any additional customer directives and company policies as applicable.

     

    Sr. Information Systems Security Manager (Sr. ISSM) provides leadership, guidance, and direction to enable business execution in a secure operating environment. They are the Cybersecurity focal point for the program with early PMO engagement, awareness and centralized classified cybersecurity support to the acquisition lifecycle.

     

    The Sr. Information Systems Security Manager (Sr. ISSM) directly with the local cognizant security agency (CSA) representatives on Cybersecurity requirements, guidance, and approvals. They possess both broad technical and programmatic expertise while simultaneously demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills to deal with internal as well as external interfaces.

     

    The Sr. Information Systems Security Manager (Sr. ISSM) is responsible for various site activities associated with Cybersecurity to include clearance verification/access management, training, and performance and development actions within their purview.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    + Provides senior level of experience and responsibility, serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and are involved in more strategic decision-making and interactions with senior management.

    + Provide oversight and guidance to a team of Cybersecurity professionals at Cambridge, MA RTX BBN site and mentors ISSM’s/ISSO’s/ISSE.

    + Handle escalated issues and high-risk decisions and drive implementation of advanced Cybersecurity solutions.

    + Collecting and reporting performance and effectiveness metrics as required

    + Collaborates, supports and leverages services provided by other Cybersecurity Team members

    + Complies with and supports direction provided by the Project Managers to implement and sustain the Cybersecurity Program

    + Collaborate with Information System Owners (ISOs), Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) and Program Managers to ensure the required level of Cybersecurity support is being provided

    + Partners with Program Security and Business Infrastructure (BI)organization to develop solutions and deploy standardized processes, procedures and configurations

    + Assists Cybersecurity Lead & other location ISSM’s with Mission Area prioritization and needs

    + Supports the Organization’s vision, strategy and goals

    + Leads and contributes to Cybersecurity projects and initiatives

     

    This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons

    Qualifications You Must Have

    + Bachelor’s degree with ten (10) years of cybersecurity systems security and/or directly related information technology experience or 15 years without a degree

    + An advanced degree in a related field with seven (7) years’ cybersecurity / systems security and/or directly related information technology experience

    + Past leadership or project/program management experience

    + Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    + Must have CISSP, CISM, or DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification

    Qualifications We Prefer -** **_Familiar with all, Expert in some_

    + Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, Business or other relevant degree

    + Experience in the oversight and execution of the Assessment & Authorization processes (Certification & Accreditation), as defined in JSIG/RMF

    + Experience in the execution and management of Information System’s (IS) incident response and administrative inquiries/investigations in collaboration with the investigations.

    + Experience in the oversight and execution of a continuous monitoring/improvement program (to include but not limited to self-inspections, security control assessments, training, log management systems, automated inventory utilities, etc.)

    + Experience providing technical security expertise and oversight for complex, cross-domain, heterogeneous classified networked environments in collaboration with internal/external Customers, Information Technology (IT) and other RTX sites.

    + Experience working with the customer, both internal and external, in the development of Basis of Estimates (BOE's) and contract negotiations

    + Experience in professional engagements with internal and external customers (i.e. AOs, DAOs, SCAs, Program Managers, etc.), to include negotiating controls/requirements with government Contracting Activities

    + Possess an active TS/SCI with current poly US security clearance.

    The salary range for this role is 137,000 USD - 275,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
