What You Will Do:

+ Highly motivated full-stack software development focal.

+ Work independently with limited supervision.

+ Contribute to software and systems engineering requirements capture and analysis.

+ Install engineering tools to support Windows/Linux mixed environments.

+ Advice on tools that can be used to increase value to program deliverables.

+ Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.

+ Experience with Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.

+ Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.

+ Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.

+ Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.

+ Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

+ Travel required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 10% travel.

+ Full time 100% Onsite position

Qualifications You Must Have:

+ Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

+ Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

+ Experience supporting Windows operating systems.

Qualifications We Prefer:

+ Experience with containerization Podman, and Docker, Web servers, reverse proxies, ANT, Maven, Subversion, GIT, PVCS, Oracle, Postgres SQL Server.

+ Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Chef, puppet, with tools such as Octopus/Shippable and products in the Atlassian suite such as Bitbucket/Bamboo preferred.

+ Experience with virtualization (VMWare, Horizion, Linux KVM), familiar with Artifactory and of automation tools, Linux and Windows development environments.

+ Experience using Visual Studio and Eclipse, DevSecOps and Agile development methodologies.

+ Experience using Win32/Win64 APIs and associated Linux API, experience working with databases; formatting queries, creating tables, particularly with Postgres.

+ Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.), source code control tools (SVN, GIT, ClearCase, etc., experience with ALM tools (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible, Bamboo) and experience with Powershell and Bash.

+ Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).

+ Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF, experience in Windows Server, data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.

+ Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.

+ Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.

+ Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SMECP, and/or Exchange and High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
