Job Description

You are an experienced **Project Manager** with a minimum of 3-5 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment.

*25% travel to various job sites and must live close to a Hub Airport*

Specific job expectations:

+ Lead site feasibility assessments, including performing technical review and management of 3rd party contractors, to support the deployment of EV charging deployment.

+ Develop and maintain design standards for EV charger deployment by jurisdiction including relevant building codes and internal design requirements.

+ Delivery of SMART outcomes, including zero HSSE incidents, below target cost for installation per site per charge points, and successful commission of sites required by plan

Responsibilities:

+ Manage client teams, including architects, engineers and supply chain to deliver compliant projects

+ Can analyze, track and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip.

+ Work closely with program manager and commercial teams to contribute to the success of the project and raise concerns/ask for support early.

+ Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required

+ Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are being applied correctly

+ Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews

+ Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications

+ Forecast and update key project milestones

+ Develop and own the risk management process.

+ Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders

+ Rapid response to RFIs from the field

+ Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required

+ Independent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers

+ Client management – assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities

+ Strategic Thinking - provide advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients’ objectives and business objectives

+ Knowledge management – ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project is captured

+ Process improvement – Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes

+ Contribute to annual budgets and planning

+ Travel – to various job sites around Houston, Texas

+ SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture

+ Construction / Project Management Professional certification

+ OSHA-10

+ Willingness to work on-site 5 days per week

+ Strong organizational and management skills – ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the broader team

+ Strong verbal and written communication

+ Effective presentation skills

+ Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction project management tools

+ Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience required

+ The candidate should have experience working on Oil and Gas corporate RE facilities
