SUMMARY
The Warranty Lead conducts root cause analysis of issues, prepares records and reconciles warranty start dates, submitting In Service forms to the manufacturer, and resolving vendor warranty internally so that production and sales goals are not impeded. The Warranty Lead reports to the Warranty Manager and assists in reporting reconciliation and internal sales training.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ _Responds to warranty issues found in production and documents labor and parts costs incurred._
+ _Notifies supplier of warranty issue to get warranty authorization and to begin claim process._
+ _Gathers and records needed information to support warranty claim filing._
+ _Initiates claim process and works with warranty processing team to ensure claims filed on time_
+ _Reports repeat defects to quality management for further action._
+ _Analyzes and tracks open claims to ensure recovery of warrantable repairs._
+ _Develops relationships with suppliers to simplify the warranty and goodwill claim process_
+ _Responsible for ensuring Work Orders are closed in a timely manner_
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

_Education & Experience_
+ Associates degree or other relevant college degree plus proven aptitude for role.
+ Non-Degreed: 3 years proven experience in a similar role.

_Preferred Skills and Qualifications_
+ Prior experience in a similar role
+ Experience with dealership warranty claims process
+ Infor M3 software experience

+ Manual dexterity – The ability to type or operate common office equipment up to 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
+ Sitting – The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing duties up to 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
+ Lifting – The ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 10 lbs.
