The Sr Manager, Global Marketing is part of the Global Engagement Division. This role is responsible for developing and guiding the overarching marketing strategy for key strategic partnerships. This leader will serve as the primary marketing liaison, orchestrating comprehensive campaign management from conception through execution and optimization.

• Serves as the primary marketing point of contact and relationship manager for major strategic partners, fostering strong, collaborative relationships with internal American Airlines stakeholders (including Partnerships, Communications, Brand, Creative, Digital, Loyalty, and Legal teams) and external partner team leads to ensure seamless communication, strategic alignment, and effective program execution.
• Owns, develops, and orchestrates the end-to-end campaign management process for all designated partnership initiatives. This includes working closely with internal teams and partner marketing counterparts to define campaign objectives, identify target audiences, develop compelling value propositions, plan integrated marketing activities, oversee creative development, manage execution timelines, and optimize campaigns for maximum impact and ROI.
• Leads and facilitates all recurring strategic marketing and creative development meetings with key partners, driving the agenda, ensuring productive discussions, capturing key decisions, and translating outcomes into clear, actionable plans to meet overarching partnership goals and contractual commitments.
• Collaborates with internal analytics and insights teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnership campaigns, monitor performance, and deliver regular reporting to both internal leadership and partner stakeholders.
• Works with channel owners and placement governance teams to ensure optimal allocation and utilization of marketing assets and inventory for partnership campaigns.
• Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance partner marketing programs, introduce innovative approaches, and deepen strategic alignment to drive incremental value for both the company and its partners.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of marketing experience, with a focus on partnership marketing
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of driving business growth through marketing initiatives
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• 10+ years of marketing experience, with a focus on partnership marketing
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of driving business growth through marketing initiatives
• Master's degree in Marketing or a related field
• Experience working in the airline industry or a related field
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
• Strong knowledge of marketing principles, including campaign development, execution, and optimization
• Experience with marketing analytics tools and data analysis
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
