Description
ARS is seeking a skilled and security-conscious **Salt Developer** to join our DevSecOps team. This role centers around infrastructure automation, secure system configuration, and optimizing deployment workflows using SaltStack.

Responsibilities:
+ Design and implement SaltStack states and formulas for scalable automation
+ Maintain consistent server configurations across environments
+ Integrate Salt with CI/CD pipelines to support secure deployments
+ Collaborate with cloud, security, and operations teams to enforce compliance standards
+ Monitor infrastructure performance and resolve configuration drift
+ Develop and maintain documentation for automation procedures and SaltStack usage
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:
+ Must be a US citizen
+ 2+ years experience with SaltStack (or other CM tools like Ansible/Puppet)
+ Proficiency in Linux system administration
+ Experience with Microsoft Azure
+ Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (VDI, etc.)
+ Solid understanding of Python scripting
+ Strong grasp of DevSecOps principles and security compliance (RMF, DIACAP)
+ Working knowledge of, and experience with, Virtual Machines, Networking, Cloud, and development environments
+ Experience working with Python, C++, and Java, are a plus
+ Demonstrated experience writing technical documents
+ Ability to work independently and as a team member
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
