The Analyst/Sr Analyst, Channel Governance is part of the Global Engagement Division. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing advertising inventory across all American Airlines owned channels. This role will oversee placement coordination, ensuring that advertising space is managed effectively, commitments to strategic partners are met, and revenue opportunities are maximized while preventing issues like double-selling.

• Oversees the comprehensive coordination of advertising placements across all American Airlines owned media channels, including but not limited to AA.com, the mobile app, email communications, airport digital signage, lounge displays, and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems.
• Develops and maintains a centralized system for managing advertising inventory, availability, and specifications for all owned channels.
• Ensures that owned inventory is managed effectively to prevent double-selling, conflicts, or over-saturation, while maximizing utilization and revenue potential.
• Works closely with partnerships and customer experience management teams to understand placement requirements and ensure accurate placement and fulfillment of partner commitments.
• Delivers on all contractual commitments for advertising mediums and placements for strategic partners, ensuring campaigns are executed as agreed.
• Manages the tracking and reconciliation of media value delivered to partners, ensuring that quarterly and annual minimums are accurately monitored, achieved, and reported.
• Tracks any placement rollovers, make-goods, or discrepancies, and works with relevant teams to resolve them in a timely manner.
• Collaborates with IT and technical teams to ensure advertising platforms and systems support efficient inventory management and accurate trafficking of creative assets.
• Develops and enforces governance policies and best practices for advertising placements on owned channels to maintain brand standards and a positive customer experience.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Media, Communications or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• MBA or advanced degree in Marketing or Business
4+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field
• Experience with advertising inventory management software and data analysis tools
• Strong understanding of the airline industry and American Airlines' marketing strategies
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with advertising inventory management software and data analysis tools (desired)
