The Manager, Media Network is part of the Global Engagement Division. This is a strategic role responsible for spearheading the innovation and expansion of American Airlines advertising capabilities. The individual will lead the exploration, development, and integration of advanced advertising technologies, targeted marketing solutions, and new revenue-generating products across our owned and operated channels.

• Leads the strategic exploration, development, and integration of advanced tracking mechanisms, such as UTM parameters and other attribution solutions, into media buys across owned channels to enable robust campaign performance measurement and optimization.
• Drives the innovation and implementation of more sophisticated targeted marketing capabilities within American Airlines owned and operated media channels, leveraging first-party data and advanced segmentation techniques to enhance relevance, effectiveness, and partner value.
• Spearheads the strategic assessment, business case development, and execution plan for establishing and scaling a broader American Airlines advertising opportunities on existing and emerging platforms.
• Defines product vision, strategy, and roadmap for new advertising and media capabilities, aligning with overall company objectives and market opportunities.
• Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Data Science, Analytics, Legal, Revenue Management, and Marketing to define technical specifications, data requirements, and operational workflows for new media solutions.
• Evaluates and recommends potential third-party technologies, platforms, or vendors to support the development and operation of advanced advertising and data capabilities, managing relationships as needed.
• Develops and presents business cases, strategic recommendations, and progress reports to senior leadership regarding media network development initiatives.
• Stays at the forefront of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in digital advertising, ad tech, data utilization, and privacy regulations to inform strategic direction and identify new opportunities.
• Ensures all developed media solutions adhere to data privacy regulations and company policies, working closely with Legal and Privacy teams.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Technology, Product Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management role
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field
• Experience with data-driven marketing and analytics
• Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, AR, and VR
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
• Strong knowledge of advertising technologies and targeted marketing solutions
• Experience with data analysis and interpretation
• Proven track record of driving innovation and growth in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Certification in marketing or a related field (e.g. Google Analytics, HubSpot)
