Bagel Baker

Part-Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $16-$16.50/hour

Must be at least 18 years and older

Position Description: A bagel baker is an entry-level who mixes ingredients and prepares products for baking. Bagels are prepared according to standards, including the precise measurement of ingredients Team members work safely and adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards to provide customers with the highest quality bakery products.

Your day-to-day:

+ Preparing great fresh bagels based on established standards by measuring, mixing, and molding dough to ensure proper weight and size, quality, and freshness while safely operating equipment

+ Reading and understanding recipes

+ Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers and responding to questions

+ Training other team members, as needed

+ Perform other duties, as assigned

What you bring to the team:

+ Bagel experience required; requires product knowledge

+ Safely operate mixers, boiler, bagel oven

+ Able to read, write, and do simple math problems

+ Able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions

+ Great customer service

+ Good oral communication

+ Team player

Working Conditions:

+ Due to the use of ovens, the temperature in the department may be warmer than room temperature

+ The position requires frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50-100lbs and occasionally climbing and reaching.

+ Position may require repetitive use of hands
