Job Description:
We’re looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Senior Content Strategist to lead content efforts that grow Sage’s brand presence and drive demand across North America, while harnessing the power of AI to scale and elevate our content.
Based in Atlanta and reporting to the Senior Director of Content, you’ll lead a team of talented content marketers who are passionate about creating smart, engaging, multi-format content for finance professionals in the US and Canada.
You’ll take charge of the delivery of Sage’s vertical content marketing strategy in North America, ensuring our content not only builds awareness but also drives pipeline. You will manage engagement with key stakeholders, including Brand Strategy & Creative, Industry Marketing, Performance Marketing, Brand and Communications teams
A key part of this role will be shaping how we integrate generative AI into our workflows to scale content production, speed up delivery, and ensure its effective execution across various channels
As a team lead, you’ll coach content marketers to deliver high-performing content with editorial rigor and audience-first thinking. You’ll work cross-functionally with demand generation, product marketing, brand, and digital teams to ensure content aligns with business priorities, reflects our tone of voice, and meets performance goals.
You must bring both creative judgment and commercial acumen, combining narrative craft with a deep understanding of how content drives growth. And you should be excited about the evolving role of AI in content marketing, experimenting, evaluating, and embedding AI tools in a way that enhances quality, efficiency, and innovation.
Location - Hybrid, 3 days per week out of our Atlanta Office.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and evolve vertical content strategy for Sage in North America.
• Manage and mentor a team of content marketers, with a focus on growth, quality, and innovation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure content maps to business goals, audience needs, and campaign metrics.
• Champion the use of generative AI tools to streamline content workflows and increase output without sacrificing quality.
• Develop messaging, editorial frameworks, and briefs that guide high-impact content creation.
• Analyze performance data to optimize content for engagement, conversion, and brand visibility.
• Ensure a consistent, compelling brand voice across all content formats and channels.
What you’ll bring:
• 5–7 years of experience in content strategy, editorial planning, or integrated marketing.
• Proven experience coaching content marketers and overseeing high-performing content programs.
• Strong writing, editing, and narrative development skills.
• Familiarity with GenAI tools like ChatGPT, Jasper, or Writer, and a clear POV on how they can support content workflows.
• Experience in B2B or SaaS marketing, with a deep understanding of buyer journeys and funnel strategy.
• Data-driven mindset and comfort with SEO, engagement metrics, and content performance tools.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
