Description:
Ideal candidate would be a current Radiology Student
Hours: Varied
What you will do:
+ Operates PC, fax machine, copy machine and other office equipment as necessary.
+ Demonstrates proper phone etiquette and utilization of computers, including completion of exam, data entry, charting during procedure and prior to imaging.
+ Checks surgery and imaging records for completeness and follows up with appropriate personnel to ensure records are completed. - Collects and stickers patient charts.
+ Greets patient/visitors, check in each patient, and announces their arrival to appropriate area(s).
+ Acts as a liaison for patients and their families in the waiting room.
+ Communicates appropriately with staff, physicians, and other departments with the ability to prioritize in an environment that is often hectic and subject to frequent interruptions.
+ Performs registration functions as needed. Must maintain a high degree of accuracy in collecting patient demographics and insurance information from various sources.
+ Escort/transport patients as needed.
+ Manages office supply inventory.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma preferred or high school equivalency.
+ Typing ability and basic computer skills.
+ One-year administrative experience preferred.
+ Medical terminology preferred.
+ Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire.
