    Job Description

    The salary range for this position is at $66,000. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status.

     

    1. Job Summary:

     

    The Strategic Marketing Director provides strategic oversight and leadership for the conceptualization, development and execution of marketing campaigns, overseeing their full lifecycle to successful completion. Actively drive the production of campaigns and tactics, ensuring consistent alignment with business line and organizational strategy, commitments and goals within budget, serving as a key strategic partner to relevant business line leaders in achieving revenue growth, enhanced customer engagement and increased brand awareness.

     

    2. Essential Functions:

    • Provide strategic leadership for the development, evolution, and execution of integrated marketing plans across programs, services, and products, consistently delivering brand awareness, engagement and measurable business outcomes.

    • Collaborate with leaders to align business line marketing strategies and campaigns with broader organizational objectives and brand positioning.

    • Design, implement, and optimize integrated marketing campaigns, managing all phases from concept to post-launch analysis.

    • Manage the full lifecycle of marketing campaigns and projects, defining scope, goals, resources, and timelines and coordinating cross-functional teams, including outside vendor and agency partners, for successful delivery.

    • Provide continuous leadership and direction and support to project teams through regular meetings, facilitating progress discussions, and proactively resolving issues to ensure project alignment and momentum.

    • Manage project process through constant monitoring, comprehensive stakeholder reporting, and implementing necessary changes to achieve project outputs and deliverables.

    • Manage brand consistency and integrity across all channels, ensuring adherence to local and national brand standards and guidelines. Establishes and manages program-specific marketing budgets, including forecasting, ensuring all expenses remain within allocation and reallocating funds as necessary.

    • Analyze and report on campaign performance to business line partners, providing data-driven insights to inform strategic adjustments and optimize future marketing efforts.

    • Leverage data analytics and market research to inform marketing strategy and creative development, ensuring accurate target audience identification and optimized campaign performance. Mentor Marketing Project Coordinator or interns.

    3. Qualifications:

    Required :

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

    • Minimum of seven (7) years of marketing experience, with demonstrated leadership experience.

    • Proven track record of developing and executing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns.

    • Demonstrated success in leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams and organizational leaders to align marketing and organizational strategies to deliver campaigns resulting in measurable increases in brand awareness, customer engagement, and ultimately, revenue growth.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    • Proven planning, organization, and time management skills.

    • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Proven ability to understand, interpret and effectively apply brand strategy and guidelines across marketing and communication efforts. Proven ability to effectively manage and allocate budgets, ensuring initiatives are delivered within financial constraints.

    • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Preferred :

    • Master’s degree in marketing, communication, promotions or related field preferred.

    • Knowledge of membership-based and non-profit organizations.

    • Experience in marketing to diverse audiences.

    • Experience within a matrix organization.

    • Bi/multilingual.

    4. Relationships:

     

    This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Strategic Marketing who reports to the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Marketing/CMO. The incumbent interacts regularly cross-functionally with business line and program leaders, and creative teams. Regularly interacts with external partners and resource staff, provide leadership and guidance to business line and program leaders but does not supervise team members.

     

    5. Work Conditions:

    • Operates a computer for the majority of the day.

    • Ability to travel to YMCA branches, camps or other locations.
