Quality Welding Inspector III
- Fox Valley Metal Tech (Green Bay, WI)

+ Read and interpret basic drawings, weld procedure specifications (WPS), and welding symbols
+ Ability to help conduct qualifications and write weld procedures
+ Basic weld inspection tool usage: fillet gauge, V-WAC gauge, combination square, protractor, caliper, tape measure, flashlight, mirror, magnifying glass, temperature crayon, borescope, dye-penetrant
+ Ability to determine weld procedure requirements for Estimating and Sales
+ Ability to answer welding-related questions or know where to direct questions
+ Fully inspect weldments and sub-weldments
+ Document results of inspections, including VT reports and weld maps
+ Communicate welding nonconformances to Welding Supervisor, Welding Trainer, Welder Development Coordinator, Lead Weld Inspector
+ Maintain material certifications and inspection documentation
+ Label nonconforming parts
+ Use calibrated measuring equipment where applicable
+ Follow all safety procedures
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required
+ Good verbal and written communication skills is required
Education:
+ GED/High School Diploma/Technical Degree
Experience:
+ 1-3 Years welding experience and/or
+ 6+ Years welding inspection experience -required
+ 3 + Years of dimensional inspection experience-required
Specialized Experience:
+ AWS CWI and/or ASNT VT Level III -required
Ability to be certified to ASNT VT Level II in-house within 30 days of hire
