Job Summary and Qualifications
The Supervisor of Interventional Radiology serves as a member of the Imaging Department leadership team, assisting Radiologists and department management in establishing and implementing department policies and procedures. As a working Supervisor, the incumbent coordinates the daily operation of interventional radiology while assisting in procedures and patient care. This position is responsible for all vascular and interventional radiology procedures.
+ You will provide leadership and supervision of non-technical staff in assigned section to provide for orderly work flow and quality performance of duties.
+ You will coordinate the daily operations of interventional radiology and other modalities as assigned while assisting in procedures and patient care as needed.
+ You will report and document issues/challenges relating to staffing morale, work, methods, procedures, transfers, and recommend action in all personnel matters, in consultation with the Director.
+ You will monitor condition, care, and maintenance of diagnostic Radiologic equipment and provide documentation of problems, response time of service organization and completion of repair.
+ You will participate in the administration of policies and procedures of the hospital and department, and provide for fair and impartial application to all employees, participates, as necessary, in a variety of tasks relative to the management of the Interventional Radiology Department such as preparation of reports, surveys, and special projects.
What qualifications you will need:
+ Graduate of an approved school of Nursing or Medical Imaging required
+ Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of California with Interventional Radiology experience OR licensed as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the state of California and Registered Radiographer (ARRT) required
+ BCLS certification required
+ Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology experience
+ Minimum 5 years of RN experience combined in acute care, procedural, ICU, ER and/or recovery OR minimum 5 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
+ Minimum 1 year of supervisory/management experience preferred

It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County. The hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures. Riverside has a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which it is very proud of.
