    WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

     

    The Nike Sport Research Lab (NSRL) is a multidisciplinary team of researchers, innovators, and scientists who leads with science to make athletes* measurably better. The NSRL delivers validated insights and innovative capabilities to drive the future of Nike products and services. The Senior Program Manager will report into the Athlete Experience Research Operations (AERO) team, which fuels the NSRL by building relationships with Athletes* and unlocking the physical and digital potential of the lab.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    The candidate needs to have strong experience as a program manager on complex initiatives. They will be responsible for aligning diverse teams on program objectives, establishing procedures, setting priorities, and guiding teams to successful completion. The candidate should have an entrepreneurial attitude and default to action, combined with the patience to navigate a large, matrixed enterprise. They need to be a versatile and creative leader, be able to identify areas of opportunity, resolve complex problems, and navigate solutions.

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, biomechanics, mechanical engineering, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.

    + 4+ years relevant work experience.

    + Strong program management experience.

    + Exceptional skill in written and oral communication, leadership, time management, and organization.

    + Knowledge of and experience working with athletes and passion for the sport.

    + Strongly preferred: experience working with wearable devices and other tools for human movement research.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

     

    In this role, you will work as part of a cross-functional team to develop, implement, and deliver on program initiatives that enable data collection and provide exceptional athlete experiences.

     

    + You will partner with scientists in the Nike Sport Research Lab, product research teams, data scientists, digital technology and engineering teams, consumer insights experts, and innovation teams. You may also work with external technology and research partners.

    + You will work with a diverse team to define the operational plan, program scope, deliverables and work plan for development of complex new research capabilities against the larger strategic vision.

    + You’ll drive accountability with our partners across the Nike matrix by successfully navigating, aligning, and prioritizing varying workstreams to ensure project timelines and dependencies are met. The ability to effectively communicate with researchers, internal and external stakeholders is vital.

    + You will also lead day-to-day operations and execute project deliverables for athlete data collections.

    + You will obsess the athlete experience and constantly seek ways to create value for participants. This will include working outside of normal business hours, when it is most convenient for the athlete.

    + You will communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to leadership and other stakeholders.
