Software Relations Manager
AVL Test Systems, Inc. (TSI) offers an expansive portfolio to meet unique customer needs. From outfitting complete battery labs to component testing, we provide solutions to advance our customer's e-mobility projects. We continue to deliver ADAS/AD solutions to help our customers create a safe autonomous future. Locally, we commission equipment and tools, develop solutions, and create custom software.
AVL TSI located in Plymouth, MI is seeking a motivated and customer-focused professional to lead the management and oversight of AVL software solutions and related support activities for key customers. This role is central to building strong customer relationships, solving complex problems creatively, and driving the successful adoption and utilization of AVL products. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor, committed to helping customers achieve their goals through expert guidance and continuous improvement. Qualified candidates will possess 5+ years of relevant experience and the aptitude to work towards and achieve customer and project success.

ROLES:
• Help key customers utilize AVL software better to unlock more mutual value.
• Be a customer advocate inside AVL for software development teams.
• Align and execute the AVL software strategy in line with account strategies of these customers.
• Create, execute, and manage a customer engagement strategy, including growing relationships within customer organization and creating a tactical plan to support the strategic goals of the customer. Keep AVL leadership appraised.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow AVL software landscape at these customers.
• Ensure AVL software is embedded into customer processes.
• Provide input to and work closely with software engineering in developing requirements, releasing, and maintaining software applications/operating systems according to customer enterprise needs.
• Learn and leverage successful strategies and common processes across multiple customers.
• Provide input to business planning/forecasting of regional business managers and sales teams.
• Understand customer IT environments and requirements.
• Keep an up-to-date overview of the customer’s organization
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive overview of the AVL software portfolio.
• Execute software business development projects in alignment with account teams.
• Additional tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
• Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Approximately 5-7 years of customer facing software operations management and software consulting experience including responsibility for customer satisfaction and business success.
• Experience with software management in the automotive experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of some Visual C++, C#, JavaScript, PowerShell, Oracle, and MongoDB programming languages and associated development experience is a plus.
• Familiar with a variety of the software field's concepts, practices, and procedures, including challenges associated with ecosystems, interoperability, and connectivity.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks, leads, and directs the work of others.
• Excellent people, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must always be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to travel both locally and internationally as needed.
