    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Contract Specialist to manage and negotiate contracts for Information Technology (IT) projects. This role involves working closely with engineers, technicians, and other professionals to ensure contracts are fair, equitable, and aligned with company objectives. Responsibilities include negotiating and redlining terms and conditions in IT-related agreements, such as Professional Services, software licenses, SaaS/XaaS, data licensing, hardware, telecom, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Order Forms, with selected vendors and contractors. The Contract Specialist will collaborate with internal stakeholders, including technical leads, risk management, tax teams, and legal departments, to draft and review contracts that protect company interests and meet project requirements. Additionally, they will work alongside outside legal counsel to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards, support contract lifecycle management by maintaining documentation, tracking deliverables, and enforcing contractual obligations. Qualified candidates should have experience in contract negotiation and management within IT procurement or related fields, a strong understanding of legal terminology, vendor agreements, and risk mitigation strategies, and excellent communication skills for engaging both internal and external partners.

     

    Candidates must be comfortable working a 9/80 hybrid schedule.

     

    Pay Rate: $55-70 per hour

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Minimum of 3 years' experience negotiating technology-related contracts

     

    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

     

    Proven experience redlining technology contracts across software, SaaS/XaaS, hardware, telecom, professional services, and data license agreements

     

    Strong knowledge of IT contracting best practices, legal frameworks, and industry standards

     

    Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

     

    Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, including translating complex technical requirements into contractual terms

     

    Skilled in delivering clear, concise, and coherent communication

     

    Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong organizational habits

     

    Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving conditions

     

    Proven success working in fast-paced environments with competing priorities

     

    Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage time independently

    Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance null
