Day to Day
We are looking for an individual to become an Associate Project Engineer in the Production Engineering group for our client. This group supports Enterprise Technology, Broadcast, and Production systems across the organization globally.
Responsibilities
Execute production engineering projects, implement changes and enhancements, and support technology refresh and expansion projects.
Maintain project-related documentation, including orders and inventory information, and provide project updates to the project management office.
Deliver on all assigned project commitments and collaborate with other internal engineering and production teams for successful project execution.
Support the creation of project documentation, including requirements, conceptual drawings, estimates, schedules, design drawings, and other documentation.
Maintain and update the master inventory of all equipment, spare parts, materials, and consumables used by the production engineering team.
Work closely with on-site and remote technology vendors to implement systems and solutions that support production control rooms, studios, graphics systems, replay systems, etc.
Collaborate with other members of the engineering and technical teams in executing projects, including working with internal stakeholders to create and update configuration documentation, technical SOPs, training materials, etc.
Allocate time approximately as follows: 30-40% on project work, ordering inventory, using tools like Smartsheet and Jira; 40% on executing projects; and 20% on documenting projects and communicating with end users.
Additional tasks include building out computers, configuring IP addresses, and keeping track of inventory of equipment in Excel.

Skills and Requirements
Must Haves
1+ years of recent IT experience (ideally supporting production or post-production environments and/or doing project work).
Knowledge of network switches, ethernet cables, and core concepts.
Ability to configure computers and understand IP addresses.
Willingness to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays with little or no notice depending on production schedules (1 weekend a month, possibly 2).
Knowledge of Excel and managing inventory software. Plusses
Knowledge of a broad range of technologies, including television production, wireless audio, intercom, and similar technologies.
Basic understanding of video, audio, and ancillary data protocols and technologies.
Familiarity with Visio or draw.io.
Spanish understanding. null
