    Job Description

    Insight Global is sourcing for a Data Ingestion Engineer to join a global consulting firm assisting in a continuous monitoring and risk project. This position will require critical thinking and ability to identify and solve problems through expertise. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data ingestion methods, such as extract and load techniques through scripting and/or tooling, streaming, API consumption and replication. Experience analysing performance bottlenecks and providing enhancement recommendations; you have a passion for customer service and a desire to learn and grow as a professional and a technologist. Experience developing strategies for data ingestion (from multiple sources) into Snowflake using FiveTran, Python, AWS glue, Snowpipes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and professionalism, with experience working cross functionally with stakeholders.This position will be a 6-month contract role with opportunity for extension. This will be a fully-remote role in India working 11:30-7:30 PM IST Monday-Friday.

     

    Pay-rate: $15-20/hour USD. Exact pay rate will depend on experience and other factors.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Engineering or a similar field

     

    -5+ years of Ingestion, Integration and ETL relevant experience.

     

    -Experience in loading data into warehouse/ ODS environment from diverse sources and formats

     

    -Experience in data platforms: Snowflake

     

    -Experience in AWS Glue, DBT and Fivetran

     

    -Strong programming/ scripting skills in Python and SQL

     

    -Design strategies for new data ingestion requests, including logical and physical data modelling

     

    -Experience working with structured and semi-structured data, knowledge of API's -Experience in AWS data platforms and integration offerings null
