Job Description

The perfect candidate will perform electrical and electromechanical repairs, assists with system grooms, checkouts, and configuration validation. Prepares and installs system alterations, involving heavy lifting, frequent stooping or bending, and working in overhead structures, confined spaces, or beneath machinery. Works independently and is an expert in all electrician tasks and qualifications. Follows complex repair procedures and instructions to complete electrical production operations. Expertly installs, repairs, overhauls, or modifies electrical or electromechanical systems and components shipboard or in-shop. Accurately troubleshoots components and systems to diagnose problems thoroughly the first time. Assists with on-site electrical services for system grooms, checkouts, minor repairs, connectorization, and configuration validation. Prepares and installs equipment or system alterations according to technical specifications. Leads and performs shipboard work for system/component evaluations.

Skills and Requirements

-Expertise in Fiber Optic Splicing, Deep Submergence Systems (SOC MCD A, B, and C), and SUBSAFE Qualification.

-Ability to obtain a Secret/Confidential security clearance.

-6+ years as an electrician null
