    Description

    We are seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant (EA) who will provide comprehensive support to leaders within the Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) business, with a primary reporting relationship to the Director of West Region Sales. The West Region Sales Team is responsible for delivering cloud infrastructure and solutions to state and local governments (SLG), K12 education (K12), and higher education (HED) customers in the West region. The team also includes Enhanced Services that combines selling with AWS-certified system integrators (SIs) with AWS Professional Services, AWS Managed Services, and Support. The team’s mission is to work with government and education customers to create new, innovative solutions to enhance customer engagement, disrupt the old-world, inefficient, and costly ways of managing enterprise IT, and teach customers how to use AWS to be citizen obsessed and transform government and education.

     

    The ideal candidate will support senior leadership by managing defined priorities across different leadership teams. This role requires a professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility while maintaining focus on tactical execution and problem-solving. The candidate must be able to execute defined tasks and projects from start to end, handling priorities with attention to detail and professionalism, while being open to guidance and solution refinement from leadership. The ideal candidate will work effectively within our leadership ecosystem, providing administrative support to multiple directors while learning to anticipate team needs.

The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, handle situations professionally, and communicate clearly while being eager to learn Amazon's business culture and best practices.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Support primarily the WWPS West Region Sales Director as well as other WWPS directors and their leadership teams (as needed)

    • Aid in the execution and management of team activities and internal/external meetings and events

    • Help with annual operational planning processes following established procedures

    • Handle calendar management and scheduling for multiple directors

    • Collect and process expenses

    • Coordinate travel logistics following established protocols

    • Serve as a liaison between customers, senior leadership, and business stakeholders

    • Manage time-sensitive and confidential information following set guidelines

    • Track deliverables and follow up on action items

    • Collaborate with the SLG/EDU Direct EA and the Lead EA of WWPS

    • Maintain communication and tracking systems

    • Limited travel may be required as determined by director, with advance notification

    Basic Qualifications

    - 2+ years of senior level leadership support experience

     

    - Experience with executive level calendar management

     

    - Experience managing multiple complex calendars, planning and organizing events of all sizes, and coordinating domestic and international travel

     

    - Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines

     

    - Experience with domestic or international travel coordination

     

    - Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround

     

    - Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 5+ years of senior level leadership support experience

     

    - Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

     

    - Experience managing multiple calendars

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
