    Job Status: Full Time

     

    FLSA Status: Salaried Non-exempt

     

    Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday

     

    Possible weekend work (Flexibility as needed)

     

    Possible 12-hour days

     

    Travel Requirements: 0-5%

    Job Summary:

    The JBS Pork team is seeking a 2nd Shift Alley Buyer.

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise hourly union workers

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    + Receive and evaluate hogs as they arrive at the plant

    + Count and sort off-quality hogs

    + Supervise hourly union workforce in completion of duties

    + Complete necessary paperwork

    + Comply with relevant laws, rules, and procedures, including Packers and Stockyards

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    + Strong organizational skills

    + Communication skills - written and verbal including phone etiquette

    + Good work history including attendance

    + Team player among all shifts

    Education, Experience, Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Bilingual (plus but not required)

    + Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

    + Experience in swine production, laws, regulations in human handling

    Physical Requirements:

    + Desk work

    + Climbing stairs

    + A lot of walking

    + Exposed to different temperatures hot, cold, humid

    The Applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

    Base Salary: $43,320min-$48,736

     

    Hours: 3rd Shift
