The Full Stack lead Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing frontend and backend software for a complex web application and ensures the smooth migration from ASIS to new infrastructure. Additionally, translating software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks.

Digital Engineering team, you are empowered with leading a group of highly skilled technical professionals to consistently deliver on project commitments and business objectives. Your role extends beyond day-to-day delivery management; you are expected to define and communicate a clear technical strategy that aligns with organizational goals and future vision.
Your leadership will ensure that the Digital Engineering team not only meets delivery expectations but also contributes to the organization’s competitive advantage through continuous improvement, technical excellence, and a culture of collaboration and innovation. You are responsible for creating an environment where team members are empowered to grow, experiment, and deliver high-quality solutions that advance both business and technology objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Support the technical strategy execution by driving IT execution plan.
+ Work closely with the various business teams to understand their needs and priorities. Evaluates business requirements and creates technical delivery plan in corporation with the AIG internal IT team and vendor resources.
+ Lead and deliver technology solutions in alignment with business and IT objectives.
+ Ensure technical projects are completed on time, on budget and within quality standards.
+ Manage the delivery team consisting of both internal and external resources
+ Reviews and approves vendor deliverables to ensure they are meeting defined quality standards, including conducting thorough technical reviews, providing constructive feedback etc.
+ Play a people manager role to manage a team under the Digital engineering section.

Delivery
+ Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and quality standard
+ Manage resource allocation, team capacity, and skills development to meet current and future project needs.
+ Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into actionable technical plans
Innovation
+ Drive continuous improvement in technology, tools, and technical standards to enhance productivity, quality, and innovation.
+ Conduct/ drive regular knowledge-sharing sessions, technical workshops, and innovation forums to inspire new ideas and foster continuous learning.
+ Identify the opportunities for automations, new tool adoptions, and technical improvements that can enhance team productivity and solution quality

Required Skills and Experiences
Educational Qualification
+ Bachelors and/or Master’s degree or equivalent
Specific Qualifications
+ Japanese language: N3 & above. English business fluency
+ Programming languages/ Frameworks : Java, .NET, Open API, Swagger, Gen AI, Good knowledge on GitHub CoPilot, knowledge on LLMs
+ Web Technologies: react js, angular or any equivalent
+ Databases: any SQL / No-SQL
+ Containers: docker, container, lxc, podman (anyone is good)
+ Container orchestrations: Kubernetes, docker compose
+ Strong knowledge in SOAP & RESTful protocols
+ API management: APIGEE, APIM, API Gateway or any other equivalent
+ Messaging: Rabit MQ, Azure service bus, Azure event grid, SQS, SNS or equivalent
+ Code quality tools: SonarQube, fortify or any equivalent
+ Soft skills: good communication, time management & quick learner
Total Experience
+ 15~20 years of experience in delivery and managing projects
+ Able to make timely decisions which benefits AIG and bring value to the business and technical teams
+ Good experience in insurance domain with emphasis on life/ commercial/consumer lines
+ Experience working in an organization and teams through change, improving efficiency, reducing cost and/or integrating business units or capabilities
+ Proven track record in delivery and run complex programs with transformation experience.
