Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will manage key accounting functions and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Your expertise will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations through effective financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure all transactions are properly recorded.

• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial statement preparation.

• Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Perform bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of cash balances and transactions.

• Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and recommendations.

• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting, particularly in month-end close and financial reporting.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes.

• Familiarity with accounting standards and principles relevant to the manufacturing industry.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
