    Description

    Robert Half is searching for a Technical Product Manager who can support a marine terminal software company based in Seattle, WA. This Product Manager will support a product engineering team with delivering solutions around the company’s billing software. This position is 6 month contract with potential to extend/convert that is Hybrid (2 days onsite).

    Duration: 6 months contract to hire

     

    Schedule: Monday – Friday 8-5 PM PST

    Job Duties

    + Own and drive detailed defect triage and enhancement delivery for critical customer go-lives, including gathering requirements, defining scope, and prioritizing work with technical leads and QA.

    + Demonstrate proven ability to push back or say no when requirements are out of scope or not technically feasible, with strong stakeholder management skills.

    + Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate closely with the development team to resolve them.

    + Lead design, documentation, and delivery of APIs for integration with ERP systems (e.g., SAP ByDesign, IFS, Oracle), including hands-on work with technical teams to ensure accurate data mapping and flow.

    + Experience delivering integrations between billing applications and external data platforms.

    + Proven expertise with tools such as Apache Kafka for building robust data pipelines that enable real-time analytics.

    + Own and contribute directly to the design and implementation of billing data integration pipelines using Apache Kafka, including schema definition, real-time data validation, and integration performance monitoring.

    + Collaborate closely with architects and developers to ensure technical alignment with internal and external system constraints.

    + Identify and evaluate new market opportunities through customer discovery, competitive landscape analysis, and collaboration with regional stakeholders.

    + Drive product adaptation and integration for rail terminal customers including understanding local requirements, regulations, and workflows

    + Experience working with EMEA and APAC customers in the marine or rail terminal industry is a strong plus.

    + Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on the value opportunities of new markets.

    Requirements

    + 4+ years of relevant experience in the management of products.

    + Experience with the principles of design thinking, and lean and agile software delivery.

    + Expertise in Agile methodologies including SAFe SCRUM with hands-on experience leading cross-functional teams and managing product backlogs.

    + Understanding of API and ERP Integration

    + API’s - Experience delivering integrations between billing applications and external data platforms.

    + Proven expertise with Apache Kafka for building robust data pipelines that enable real-time analytics.

    + Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills with a proven ability to work across diverse, matrixed teams and align stakeholders around shared goals.

    + Clear and concise communicator able to distil complex technical concepts for diverse audiences and influence decision-making at all levels.
