Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Administrator/Billing Coordinator to join our team in Emeryville, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment managing both commercial and residential tenants. The ideal candidate will excel in tenant data management, billing processes, and customer service while demonstrating proficiency with reports utilizing Microsoft Excel.

This position is located on-site in Emeryville, California.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate tenant data entry and maintain records in Sage software systems.

• Manage monthly billing cycles, including invoice creation, distribution, and payment processing for utilities and other charges.

• Handle accounts receivable tasks such as cash applications, collections, and reconciling payments.

• Advertise vacant units, evaluate prospective tenants, and assist in initiating new lease agreements.

• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing tenant inquiries and resolving complaints tactfully.

• Collaborate with internal teams to draft and finalize complex commercial lease agreements.

• Utilize spreadsheets and program-to-program communication to streamline billing and administrative tasks.

• Ensure compliance with property management regulations and maintain organized documentation.

• Assist with ongoing property management activities, including overseeing utility billing for both residential and commercial tenants.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounts receivable or property management roles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of billing functions, including invoice generation and payment processing.

• Experience with collections, particularly in a commercial property setting.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to interact professionally and tactfully with tenants, including resolving disputes.

• Familiarity with advertising rental units and tenant qualification processes.

• Confidence in handling technology and program-to-program communication for billing systems.
