Description
We are looking for an experienced Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) to join our biotechnology client in Brisbane, California. This 4-month consulting engagement offers an exciting opportunity to provide strategic financial leadership while driving process improvements and supporting key business decisions. The ideal candidate will excel in business partnering, cost accounting, and inventory management. The client's primary business intelligence tool is Adaptive Planning. Proficiency in Adaptive Planning is required. Our client values in-person collaboration so you must be onsite 3 days/week. The project kicks off on 8/18/2025. Please apply to this role today!
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with SG& A departments to deliver insightful analyses that guide critical business decisions.
• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes for SG& A and organizational operations.
• Manage and streamline purchasing requisitions, purchase orders, and ensure timely expense recognition.
• Evaluate current practices and lead initiatives to implement process improvements and drive operational efficiency.
• Provide financial leadership by analyzing and interpreting data to support strategic goals.
• Develop financial models to enhance forecasting accuracy and business planning.
• Ensure compliance with accrual accounting practices and contribute to a smooth accounting close process.
• Utilize tools such as NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, and Tableau to generate actionable insights.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial strategy with broader business objectives.
• Monitor inventory-related financial activities to ensure accuracy and cost optimization.
Requirements • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial operations, including SG& A business support and organizational finance.
• Proficiency in Excel, NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, and Tableau.
• Strong expertise in forecasting, modeling, and accrual accounting practices.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to lead budgeting processes and manage annual financial planning.
• Familiarity with inventory management and cost accounting principles.
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to drive change and implement process improvements.
