Description We are looking for a highly skilled Insurance Credit Specialist to join our team in a long-term contract position. In this role, you will focus on resolving credit balances, processing insurance refunds, and investigating claims discrepancies. This is a fully remote opportunity that offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic team within the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
• Investigate and resolve credit balances by analyzing overpayments and determining appropriate actions.
• Review insurance claims to identify and address discrepancies, ensuring accurate resolution.
• Process refunds to insurance payers by verifying details and completing adjustments as needed.
• Utilize payer portals and communication tools to gather claims information and implement corrective measures.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify trends in credit balances and suggest improvements to processes.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with insurance billing standards and regulations.
• Maintain precise records of transactions and updates within internal systems and software.
• Share recommendations and insights during team training sessions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Leverage tools such as Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint to manage workflows and document activities.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and alignment with organizational objectives. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and cash flow analysis.
• Extensive experience with credit balances, insurance billing, and revenue cycle management.
• Familiarity with insurance claims, collections, denials, and reimbursements.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and recommend actionable solutions.
• Skilled in using CRM platforms and other digital tools for workflow management.
• Understanding of health insurance industry standards and payer regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
