Description We are looking for an experienced IP Docket Clerk to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a long-term contract position that requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. You will play a critical role in supporting the Intellectual Property practice group by managing docketing tasks and ensuring compliance with established procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular status checks using official patent office websites and update docket records accordingly.

• Process incoming annuity payment confirmations and ensure accurate documentation.

• Download daily correspondence from patent offices and organize it within the internal document management system.

• Handle third-party vendor invoices, ensuring they are reviewed and approved by attorneys.

• Sort and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate team members.

• Coordinate file transfers with the IP Manager and Docket Specialists, managing both incoming and outgoing records.

• Generate detailed reports for attorneys, staff, and clients as needed.

• Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by the IP Manager. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous experience in IP docketing within a law firm or legal department is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management.

• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to analyze and think critically when handling complex tasks.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaborating effectively within a team.

• Skilled in data entry and document scanning.

• Knowledge of USPTO filings, searches, and intellectual property processes preferred
