Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lynnwood, Washington. This is a long-term contract position within the aerospace industry, offering the opportunity to contribute to efficient financial operations in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in managing accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and debit memos by accurately collecting, coding, and analyzing data for payment approval.

• Maintain and update vendor records, including banking details, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Perform account reconciliations, postings, and balancing to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and provide clear communication.

• Support departmental initiatives and contribute to process improvements.

• Utilize accounting software systems and tools to streamline accounts payable operations.

• Prepare and review reports related to accounts payable activities for management.

• Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by supervisors or management.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounts payable functions.

• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in handling additional responsibilities as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or related roles.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes, including accounts payable.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Experience with accounting software systems such as Oracle is preferred.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting is preferred.

• Must meet eligibility requirements for handling controlled data or information in compliance with industry regulations.
