Description

E-commerce retailer in Daly City is seeking a meticulous and highly organized Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join our dynamic finance team in [City, State, if applicable]. As an AP Specialist, you will be a critical part of our financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the overall financial health of the company.

Responsibilities:

+ Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently, including matching purchase orders, verifying receipts, and obtaining proper approvals.

+ Enter and code invoices into the accounting system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks) with precision.

+ Prepare and process electronic transfers and check payments in a timely manner.

+ Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.

+ Communicate effectively with vendors to address inquiries, clarify billing issues, and maintain positive relationships.

+ Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including accruals and reconciliations.

+ Maintain accurate and organized vendor files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.

+ Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

+ Assist with audit requests by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

+ Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function.

+ Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice-related issues.

+ Perform other duties as assigned to support the finance department.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

+ 1-3 years of proven experience in an Accounts Payable role.

+ Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and AP best practices.

+ Proficiency in NetSuite

+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas).

+ Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to research and resolve discrepancies.

+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
