    A Special Education School Bus Driver is responsible for transporting students safely and on time from their pickup point to school and back. This includes performing pre-trip inspections, ensuring child safety, and maintaining compliance with DOT regulations.

    Qualifications

    + Three (3) years of driving experience with no breaks/gaps and no more than 1 moving violation in that time period.

    + Candidates cannot have any DUI/DWI on their driving record.

    + Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical.

    + A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.

    + Must be at least 23 years of age.

    + Valid Driver’s License.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Training is paid at $18/00/hour

    + Safely transport students to and from school and activities

    + Arrive at destinations on schedule

    + Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

    + Conduct child checks after each route

    + Use navigation tools to plan efficient routes

    + Maintain a clean, fueled, and well-maintained vehicle

    + Keep accurate mileage and maintenance records

    + Interact with students, parents, and staff in a professional manner

    + Perform other duties as assigned
