Reports To: Administrator
Job Summary: Responsible for the Agency's overall compliance with Local, State & Federal Laws and Regulations concerning the operation and provision of the Independent Living Skills Program. Participates in developing strategies, goals, policies and regulatory requirements related to ILST services, and is responsible for increasing patient census as defined by senior leadership. The ILST Supervisor reports to the Administrator.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure that the agency is in compliance with all applicable local, State and Federal laws and regulations as they relate to the Independent Living Skills Program.
• Ensure the orientation, training and annual training of all ILST Staff.
• Complete Annual Performance Evaluations for all ILST Staff.
• Complete initial assessment of ILST clients and develop plan of care and goals.
• Conducts ILST client supervisory visits on a regular basis.
• Acts as ILST relief staff and provides emergency coverage as needed. Supervises, schedules and disciplines ILST employees.
• Receive and act to resolve complaints and problems regarding policy and procedure.
• Ensure appropriate personnel, bookkeeping, administrative records, policies and procedures of the agency.
• Project a concerned, professional attitude and develop a positive rapport with all staff.
• Develop an open, positive rapport with management, staff members and community resources affiliated with home health care services.
• Ensure the completion, maintenance and submission of records and reports as required by local, State and Federal laws and regulations.
• Maintain availability for all hours that employees are providing services.
• Assure the confidentiality of all client and proprietary information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Ensure that all marketing, advertising and promotional information accurately represent the agency and address the ILST services that the agency can provide.
• Quality management committee review meetings to resolve problems, issues, trends and patterns.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines in all aspects of the job. Successfully completes required CEUs and training annually to meet compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
• Possess a Bachelor's degree and must have at least 5 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities on issues relating to life skills training, and/or brain injury.
• Must be able to communicate and understand return communication effectively in exchanges between the consumer family representatives and other trainers.
• Must be familiar with all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations concerning the operation and
provision of Independent Living Skills Training.
• Must be familiar with brain injury clients and how to develop strategies and goals.
• Must have a valid driver's license, and pass an extensive background check.
• Must be organized

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
