Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in College Station, Texas. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in financial management and reporting. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

• Maintain and update the general ledger and fixed assets to reflect accurate financial data.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring they align with accounting standards.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank statements and internal records.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.

• Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.

• Strong knowledge of preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

• Experience with bank reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.

• Fixed Asset experience.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
