Description

As an Entry-Level Accountant, you will work directly with and learn from our experienced Accounting Director. This role provides hands-on training in all accounting functions, making it an excellent launchpad for your career! Not only will you gain experience with day-to-day financial operations, but you'll also have the chance to collaborate with teams across the organization, contributing to the impactful work we do in the mental health field.

What You’ll Do:

+ Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable

+ Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports

+ Reconcile bank accounts and other general ledger accounts

+ Support budgeting and forecasting processes

+ Process invoices, expense reimbursements, and employee payroll entries

+ Help ensure financial records comply with legal standards and organizational policies

+ Work closely with the Accounting Director to streamline and improve accounting processes

+ Learn the inner workings of nonprofit accounting, including grant tracking and fund allocation

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent coursework)

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Eager to learn and grow within the accounting field

+ Basic knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Excel (experience with accounting software is a plus!)

+ Passion for the mission of improving mental health and supporting our community
