Description We are looking for a skilled Public Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will serve as the sole accountant for the company, managing a diverse range of financial, HR, and administrative tasks. This is an onsite position that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative and close-knit environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and oversee full-cycle accounting processes, including general ledger management and month-end close procedures.

• Process payroll efficiently using Paychex and ensure timely payments.

• Manage HR-related activities and office administration to support smooth daily operations.

• Develop profit and loss statements, cash flow reports, and financial pro formas to aid in strategic decision-making.

• Collaborate with internal teams such as shipping and sales to align financial operations with business goals.

• Handle bank relationships and oversee pricing strategies for import business.

• Contribute to the exploration of transitioning financial systems from Sage 50 to QuickBooks.

• Perform account reconciliations and journal entries to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for detailed financial analysis and reporting tasks.

• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to support organizational objectives. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.

• Proficiency with Sage 50 software is essential; familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus.

• Strong expertise in general ledger management and month-end close processes.

• Experience in creating financial reports such as profit and loss statements and cash flow projections.

• Ability to perform account reconciliations and journal entries with precision.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis.

• Cheerful and adaptable team player with a willingness to handle a variety of tasks.

• Previous experience in payroll management and HR-related activities preferred.
