Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing invoice processing, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and coordinating approvals for various invoice types. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment within the wholesale distribution industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently in a manual workflow environment.

• Manage a shared inbox to organize and handle incoming invoice submissions.

• Collaborate with plant teams to secure approvals for maintenance, rent, and overhead invoices.

• Enter invoice data into SAP ByDesign with precision and attention to detail.

• Assist in preparing and executing regular check runs to ensure timely payments.

• Support plant operations by addressing accounts payable-related inquiries.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate records and perform formula-based calculations.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for accounts payable processes.

• Maintain organized and accessible file management systems for invoice documentation. Requirements • Previous experience in accounts payable, handling mid-level complexity tasks.

• Proficiency in SAP ByDesign and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel.

• Strong organizational skills to manage high-volume workflows effectively.

• Excellent communication abilities to coordinate with various teams and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with account coding and invoice processing procedures.

• Knowledge of ACH payments and check run processes.

• Experience with file management systems to support documentation needs.
