    Description An organization in the East of Pittsburgh is in need of a temporary to hire Staff Accountant!

     

    The Staff Accountant position is 100% onsite.

     

    Work hours are 9am-4pm.

    The Staff Accountant would be responsible for the following duties:

    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

    • Process and code invoices; manage A/P and A/R

    • Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts

    • Assist with month-end close and journal entries

    • Prepare financial reports and daily bank deposits

    • Perform cash handling duties and maintain financial records

    • Support audits, year-end procedures, and inventory control

    • Coordinate with leadership to monitor expenditures and resolve discrepancies

    • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all financial processes

    • HR/Payroll duties once hired

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or similar is required

    • Non-profit or Hospitality accounting experience is a plus

    • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entry preparation.

    • Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes.

    • Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
