Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual passionate about ensuring compliance, evaluating risks, and strengthening internal processes within the manufacturing industry. You will play a key role in executing audit programs and driving impactful improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive audit plans tailored to organizational objectives and industry standards.
• Conduct thorough reviews of financial and operational systems to identify areas of risk and non-compliance.
• Evaluate audit findings and prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations for management in accordance with SOX standards
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
• Monitor the execution of audit programs and provide guidance to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and propose enhancements where necessary.
• Provide expertise in corporate internal audit processes, ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline operations and mitigate risks.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry trends to ensure compliance.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced audit staff to foster skill development and consistency.
Requirements
• Proven experience in internal auditing and SOX, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of audit programs, findings evaluation, and corporate internal audit processes.
• Proficiency in developing and executing audit plans with a focus on risk assessment.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication abilities to convey findings and collaborate across teams.
• Prior SOX experience required
• Relevant certifications such as CPA, CIA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
