    Description

    Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to support a local CPA Firm in Pickerington, Ohio. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in tax preparation and compliance, while contributing to the success of clients and the organization. The ideal candidate will possess advanced individual tax knowledge, and a proactive approach to managing individual, corporate, and sales tax-related responsibilities. This contract role will help the CPA Firm complete a backlog of client work, but contract to hire is a possibility, if desired and adequate performance is demonstrated. This role is 100% onsite at the client's office in Pickerington.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

    • Manage sales and use tax filings, providing accurate calculations and timely submissions.

    • Conduct thorough research on tax-related issues to provide strategic advice and solutions.

    • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify tax-related inquiries.

    • Ensure accuracy and completeness in all tax preparation processes, minimizing risks and errors.

    • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and industry standards to maintain compliance.

    • Assist in identifying opportunities for tax savings and optimization for clients.

     

    Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

     

    • Extensive experience in tax preparation, including individual, corporate, and sales tax.

    • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

    • Proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks and tax preparation software.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.

    • Outstanding communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members.

    • CPA certification is preferred but not required.
