    Job Title: Staff Accountant

    Overview:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Galveston, TX. This is a great opportunity for a driven accounting professional with 2+ years of experience who is looking to expand their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist with month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting

    + Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

    + Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance

    + Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations

    + Monitor and process accounts payable and receivable transactions

    + Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency

    + Collaborate with team members on ad-hoc projects and reporting as needed

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

    + Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience

    + Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles

    + Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software a plus

    + High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills
